As a Senior Consultant or Manager in EY’s Business Transformation team, you’ll help deliver outcomes on some of the country’s most complex and high-impact programs. From unlocking operational efficiencies to driving strategic change, you’ll play a key role in supporting our government clients..
This is a hybrid position and is based in our Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office.

Working as a team in the successful delivery of business transformation projects across various areas, including:
Large programme planning and execution Operating model design Strategic cost transformation and operational efficiency Process optimisation and ways of working Business case development Oversee complex transformation programs spanning the entire lifecycle - from strategy through design and into implementation. Drive business development and account management activities, including pursuits, proposals, and managing key client relationships.
Ngā Pūkenga | Skills and attributes for success
Proven experience leading and delivering business transformation projects and programs end-to-end Experience working within government departments Government or consulting experience Strong capabilities in business case development, financial modelling, and/or program delivery Clear written communication and strategic thinking Experience working on complex public sector initiatives or programs
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
A structured approach to critical problem-solving. Understanding of machinery of government, The ability to work in a team to leverage insights for strategic decision-making. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical and business concepts clearly and confidently to both internal and external stakeholders. Client-centric approach: Focus on delivering value to clients through tailored solutions and exceptional service delivery Project Management: Understanding of project delivery. Delivery experience, as a project team member, would be highly valuable
