Job DescriptionConduct Labour and Human Rights / social audits independently or as part of a team at manufacturing facilities.
Evaluate supplier practices related to child labor, forced labor, health & safety, working hours, wages, and management systems in alignment with legal requirements.
Assess compliance with Indian labor laws and statutory requirements (e.g., Factories Act, CLRA, Minimum Wages Act, Payment of Bonus Act).
Document audit findings clearly, with root cause analysis and practical corrective/preventive action recommendations.
Deliver professional, well-structured audit reports within agreed timelines.
Engage with client teams and suppliers to clarify findings and support CAPA closure.
Maintain audit ethics, impartiality, and adherence to confidentiality norms.
Stay up to date on regulatory developments, industry trends, and audit best practices.
Required Qualifications:
SA 8000 Lead Auditor Certification is advantage.
5 years of hands-on audit experience in social compliance or sustainability
Strong working knowledge of Indian labor laws across multiple states
Experience conducting PSCI audits is a definite advantage
Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel extensively across India for audit assignments
Strong reporting and analytical skills
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Labor Relations, Industrial Management, or related fieldAdditional Information
