Senior Consultant, Real Estate
Aon is seeking a Senior Consultant – Real Estate Work Style: Hybrid - work in office 2-3 days a week. The preferred position location is Chicago, IL; regular travel required, primarily in the U.S. The position will provide outsourced and consultancy-based risk management and insurance advisory services to multiple Aon clients and prospects within its Real Estate and Hospitality industry vertical. The position is neither a broking nor account management position. Works closely and in collaboration with the Real Estate & Hospitality Leader. Requirements: + Demonstrable risk management and insurance experience within a large real estate management/investment firm + Ability to translate & communicate complex and technical insurance into understandable & actionable finding and recommendations + In-depth understanding of real estate industry operations, the associated business risks and mitigation techniques + Broad knowledge and understanding of insurance markets, specifically within Property & Casualty insurance products. + Demonstrable understanding and experience in applying risk mitigation strategies (e.g. claims management, property risk control) + Understanding and integration of captive and alternative risk (parametric, structure solutions, etc.)insurance programs. + Aptitude to analyze and interpret information through “asking the right questions” + Adaptability to manage multiple streams of work and multiple relationships in an effective and efficient manner. + Establish influential relationships with clients and internal Aon partners, especially AGRC, to create a seamless value proposition. + Ability to understand, interpret, and assist with Lender, property management and other contracts and insurance policies.
