What You’ll Be Doing
Reporting to the Director, Commercial Banking Business Platform Management, you will support planning and execution of high complexity transformational projects in the Commercial Bank. You will be part of a team focused on the development, support and maintenance of Commercial Banking’s Suite of Technology Applications. The suite of applications are used by the Line of Business for several purposes including for customer relationship management (CRM), managing pipeline and activities, monitoring of credit compliance, among others. The applications collect and store information for business analysis and decision-making. You will provide support across the initiative lifecycle such as business case drafting, leading stakeholder sessions, providing strategic recommendation, and programs and projects and other related activities.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 2-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
How You’ll Succeed
1. Work closely with the broader business team to ensure the creation and refinement of the Commercial Bank CRM / Salesforce application vision and roadmap. Identifying and prioritizing so that the right customer problems are solved in alignment with the strategic vision, competitive pressures and Business Case value drivers. Responsibilities would also include:
Providing project management support within the TeamSupport the documentation of workflows including detailed activities, controls, and relevant documentationProvide recommendations for improvement, including process re-engineering and aligning activities with best-fit areasSupporting and monitoring shared mailboxes for Salesforce related questions2. Support the Commercial Banking Business Platform Management team in the development and execution of application maintenance initiatives:
Provide assistance on the management of assigned programs and tasks, including:Contributing to the orderly completion of assigned maintenance tasks relating to key activities:Business Planning ExerciseQuarterly Release PlanningBack log maintenanceOngoing and Ad-hoc Reporting etc.Project Management for Commercial Banking Application enhancements or upgrades, as assigned3. Make recommendations to senior leaders on strategy and new initiatives, based on an in-depth understanding of the business/group.
4. Support the development and testing of applications as required: (i) support application development teams with interpreting business requirements and business rules; and (ii) support Quality Assurance teams with investigating and resolving variances from system integrated testing and user acceptance testing.
5. Support Change Management team with development and delivery of the content for the user training sessions for applications as applicable.
6. Maintain and review application user access controls and process for the Commercial Banking CRM (Salesforce) application
7. Manage business administration activities for assigned application
Who You Are
You demonstrate experience in Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) / CRM platform.You have working knowledge of Commercial Banking’s key priorities and initiatives to meet business objectives, as well as Commercial Banking’s products and services, structure and operations. You have proficiency with CIBC’s commercial banking applications and reporting systems.You have good interpersonal and teaming skills sufficient to interact with groups and individuals at various level.You are proficient with Microsoft Office tools, such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word.You have proficiency with CIBC’s project management methodology, and awareness of Commercial banking product suite.You have strong relationship management skills. You have the ability to establish and build healthy working relationships and partnerships with clients (internal and external), vendors and peers.Requirements Analysis. You have knowledge of activities, tasks, practices and deliverables associated with eliciting and clearly defining and documenting required business functionality as well as information requirements.You are a problem solver. You have knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems.You have good project management skills, including project plan development, budgeting and scheduling skills.You are self-motivated, with the ability to operate independentlyYou have strong communication and presentation skills to prepare material and deliver user training.Values matter to you.
