The Global Fund Administration Transformation & Innovation function (GFA T&I) has been established to develop capability in the key areas of:
Client ChangeCapital ChangeOperational ChangeInnovation Solution Development (the T&I Global Innovation Lab)Business Process AnalysisFund Administration ChangeThe key activities of the Global Fund Administration T&I functions are to develop and deliver business transformation projects and solutions which will enable strategic change to meet key Fund Accounting, Financial Reporting, Regulatory Reporting and Private Capital Administration objectives in the coming years.
The focus will be to meet the challenge and opportunities posed by the emerging trends in the funds industry and wider, utilising robotic automation, artificial intelligence and data analytics.
Applications are now being sought from suitably qualified industry specialists to join the GFA T&I functions as an Implementation Manager.
Principal Responsibilities
The Implementation Manager will be responsible for providing direction and strategy for enterprise-wide initiatives. This position is focused on large scale initiatives with a high degree of complexity that impacts all portions of the business. This position leverages deep functional and business expertise to work on large-scale enterprise-wide initiatives. These projects involve technology change, business process redesigns and operating model reviews/ amendments. These are different from typical client initiated changes, business changes or existing technology platform upgrades. Looks across all corporate strategic initiatives to understand how the big picture initiatives link together in a holistic roadmap.
Key responsibilities will include:
Seasoned multi-disciplinary expert with extensive technical and / or business knowledge and functional expertise.Focus of role is on execution of strategic direction of business function activities.Carries out co complex initiatives involving multiple disciplines and/or ambiguous issues .Displays a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity.Monitor and report on project performance and issues, escalating issues effectively as required.Ensure that best practice benefits and change management methodologies are integrated into project delivery.Understand and manage stakeholder requirements.Present and communicate on project progress or other topics to a wide range of audiences.Advocate for Business Transformation and Innovation activities throughout Northern Trust.
Knowledge:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills are required
• In-depth Functional / Industry Knowledge is required
• Highly flexible and adaptable to change
• Technical skills / systems knowledge (e.g. Global Investone, ADO AZURE, Co-Pilot, AGILE ways of working) is required
• Leadership and organizational skills are required to determine the Business Unit's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff.
