Jacobs’ Jackson, MS team seeks a Senior Construction Manager who wants to make a difference in their community through solving the exciting construction challenges facing Jacobs’ clients. We are looking for a highly motivated Construction Manager to work on a variety of water and wastewater projects. This position leads construction management teams, conducts construction management services, performs constructability reviews, facilitates the project bid phase development, performs construction site observation, provides construction progress and schedule reviews, and assists with equipment/facility startups and construction project closeout. The role is anticipated to include both field inspection for construction services and in-office construction administration tasks. Serving as a key team member on the Program, you will support engineering design staff, operations and maintenance staff, and our clients as you engage in projects from concept through construction completion. Responsibilities include * Lead teams of construction staff to coordinate activities with the contractor, owner, operations and maintenance staff, and engineering/design team. * Work with senior project/program management staff as an integral part of the project/program team. * Prepare field observation review reports, change proposals, progress meeting agendas/summaries, verify quality assurance and control implementation, review and recommend pay applications, progress schedule review, assist with claims review and responses, and review submittals while fielding construction-related questions and keeping the Owner informed of the project status. * Conduct site visits for field audits and perform construction observation. * Independently evaluate the selection and/or modification of standard techniques, procedures, criteria, and systems to efficiently meet project goals. * Review vendor information to assure compliance with specifications. * Participate with engineering teams in the preparation of reports, studies, and calculations. * Assist senior engineers on larger, more complex projects, including managing project tasks. * B.S. in Building Construction, Civil Engineering, or related construction management or engineering discipline. * 15+ years of relevant experience. * Knowledge of the use of construction management software such as ProjectSite. * Strong data analysis and technical problem-solving. * Strong written and oral communication skills. * Outgoing and positive attitude, dependable, and committed to meet all assigned project deadlines. * Self-motivated, team-oriented, organized, and able to successfully multitask.
