Rite-Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Senior Configuration Management Specialist to support full-time on-site at NUWCDIVNPT. You will Serve as a senior subject matter expert in Configuration Management (CM) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for AN\/BYG-1 submarine systems. An active Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required.\n
Primary Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop, track, and manage Engineering Change Documents (ECDs), including Engineering Change Instructions (ECIs), Temporary Engineering Change Instructions (TECIs), Change Proposals (CPs), and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs) to support system modifications and upgrades.\nLead ILS Certification development within the Navy Data Environment (NDE) and manage risk assessment processes for submarine installations.\nCreate Risk Assessment (RA) messages and generate Monthly RA reports to evaluate and mitigate potential risks.\nOversee Allowance Parts Lists (APLs) tracking within the Configuration Data Manager's Database-Open Architecture (CDMD-OA), ensuring accuracy and resolving discrepancies with Technical Support Agents and CM\/ILS personnel.\nMaintain and refine ECI and TECI templates to standardize CM processes and improve efficiency.\nLead status tracking efforts for submarine installations, ensuring timely and accurate ILS Certifications.\nAct as a primary liaison with Program Sponsors, Naval Sea Logistics Center, NUWC Keyport, and other agencies to develop and approve configuration management documentation.\nOrganize and manage the CM\/ILS section of the AN\/BYG-1 collaborative environment, ensuring seamless access to critical program documentation.\nGenerate and publish weekly configuration reports, providing stakeholders with real-time updates on project status and progress.\nIdentify process improvements and best practices to enhance CM and ILS operations, ensuring adherence to Navy standards and program goals.\n\n
Position Requirements:\n\nMinimum 10 years' experience in Configuration Management (CM) and Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), with a strong background in Navy submarine programs.\nU.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret Security Clearance\nExpertise in Engineering Change Management, including ECIs, TECIs, CPs, and ECPs.\nStrong working knowledge of Navy Data Environment (NDE), CDMD-OA, and ILS Certification processes.\nProven ability to analyze, assess, and mitigate risks in submarine installations and system upgrades.\nProficiency in tracking and managing APLs, ILS Certifications, and installation documentation.\nExtensive experience coordinating with government agencies, program sponsors, and technical stakeholders.\nStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the ability to oversee and mentor junior CM\/ILS specialists.\nAbility to interpret technical documentation, including Interface Design Documents, System Specifications, and Engineering Change Directives.\nTravel may be required for stakeholder coordination, technical reviews, and program support. (Roughly 10%)\n\n
Additional Skills of Interest (not required):\n\nExperience supporting AN\/BYG-1 CM functions and working within currently fielded submarine programs.\nBackground in system testing, verification, and validation within a CM\/ILS framework.\nFamiliarity with Navy configuration control processes and lifecycle sustainment planning.\n\n
