Senior Component Engineer
We are looking for a dedicated Supplier Quality Engineer to support our factory operations by maintaining and improving the quality performance of our electronic and mechanical component suppliers. This role is vital in driving supplier engagement, ensuring production quality, and supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) efforts. **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** + Develops and maintains supplier relationships to track available technology, gain insight into supply resiliency, and enable rapid issue resolution. + Analyzes industry trends and component lifecycle data to ensure component sustainability and alignment with the company’s technology roadmap. + Investigates alternate component sources to maintain/improve supply resiliency and resolve component shortages. + Works with Commodity Managers to develops guidelines/procedures on vendor selection and long-term sourcing strategies + Evaluates supplier change notifications to assess impact and determine appropriate response actions. + Evaluates supplier change notifications to assess impact and determine appropriate response actions. + Helps maintain component data management system by approving newly created components and ensuring proper quality management processes are followed. + Ensures compliance with global and regional commodity strategies, while continuously improving component engineering processes and practices. **Who You Are:** + Responsible in formulating commodity strategies to meet Emerson Test and Measurement’s current and future technology needs. Make recommendations for preferred components that should be used on new product development **For This Role, You Will Need:** + Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering required.
