Job Overview:
The Senior Compliance Manager supports legal and regulatory compliance within the energy and heavy infrastructure sectors. This role ensures company operations align with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, as well as internal policies. Key responsibilities include monitoring high-risk business initiatives, overseeing training programs, managing policy updates, conducting audits, and assisting the whistleblower program. The Senior Compliance Manager partners with Legal, Internal Audit, Operations, and HR to maintain a culture of compliance and integrity.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
Monitoring & Auditing: Conduct compliance reviews and operational audits of energy, utilities, and infrastructure projects to ensure alignment with legal requirements and internal controls. Track issues and oversee remediation plans. Training & Communication: Develop and deliver industry-specific compliance training for field and corporate teams on topics such as safety compliance, environmental regulations, Code of Conduct, anti-retaliation, and conflict of interest. Policies & Procedures: Maintain and update compliance-related policies, procedures, and the Code of Conduct. Collaborate with operations and legal to tailor policies for infrastructure and energy regulatory requirements. Whistleblower Program: Assist in whistleblower intake and case management system. Triage complaints and coordinate investigations with Legal and Internal Audit. Maintain confidentiality and ensure non-retaliation practices are followed. Compliance Program Enhancement: Support the evolution of the compliance program by identifying regulatory gaps and coordinating implementation of new procedures.Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum 5 years of compliance, legal, or audit experience in the energy, infrastructure, or construction industries. General familiarity with regulatory frameworks such as FERC, OSHA, EPA, and project-level compliance (e.g., safety audits, prevailing wage, environmental reporting). Strong interpersonal, communication, and project management skills. Proven ability to handle sensitive investigations and maintain confidentiality.Pay Range: $120,000 - $140,000 annually, depending upon experience
