Accounting — Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial controls, analysis and reporting of financial data. Mastery of Technology Skills — Accounting and Finance software (i.e., Hyperion, Oracle E-Business Suite, or similar systems); Spreadsheet software: Microsoft Excel; Office Suite software: Microsoft Office Administration and Management — Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources. Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution, preferred in Accounting, Finance or Business discipline. Minimum 7 years’ experience in Finance and/or Accounting. Minimum 2 years Audit and/or Finance Compliance experience Minimum 2 years leadership experience. Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position. This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. Must be capable of domestic travel up to 50%. Weekend travel and work and participation in conference calls and meetings during late night/early morning hours may be required occasionally.Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Business Administration (MBA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or consulting experience highly desirable. Cost Accounting experience preferred. Systems experience with QAD and/or LN BAAN.Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a finance leader to become the Senior Compliance Manager for the HFS Business Segment US locations. The position is primarily responsible for all functional control activities of the US locations and reports to the Associate VP of Finance. The role provides an opportunity to work closely with finance, procurement, human resources, and engineering personnel at all levels of the organizations as well as other members of the plant and the Segment leadership team. We are seeking a self-motivated professional with a high degree of autonomy and integrity to assume this position.
Essential Functions: The Senior Compliance Manager, HFS position includes both creation of strategic vision, and tactical management including execution, examples include but are not limited to:
Lead Company Compliance initiatives including but not limited to Finance, Anti-Corruption, Sarbanes-Oxley section 404 controls (SOX), Ethics and Compliance, Legal Compliance and all aspects of Company Internal Controls and Audits for the HFS US locations. Manage planning, reporting, consolidation and analysis functions and develop and manage processes to ensure compliance with Audit Self-Assessment Tool (ASAT) and other internal audit requirements, as well as US GAAP and Howmet reporting requirements. Perform segregation of duties reviews for Oracle, SAP and legacy systems and maintain Business Cases. Day-to-day management of compliance activities. Assist in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly Compliance review packages. Coordinate and conduct trainings for newly hired controllers and other financial personnel. Work with Segment IT and Finance colleagues to rationalize and reduce compliance performed locally in favor of centralized compliance activities. Build a high-performance compliance environment throughout the business and engage with leadership on deficiencies in the control environment and recommendations on what the business needs in order to address control deficiencies in a timely manner.
