Senior Compensation Consultant

The Senior Compensation Consultant provides consultative support to HR partners and business leaders in the design and management of the organizations job architecture and compensation programs.  Leads the overall market adjustment and promotion process, administers rewards programs, and serves as an expert in the compensation module within the HRIS system, Workday.  This role acts as a lead in reporting, auditing, tracking, and organizing information.  Leads the salary survey input process, market prices roles, participates in benchmarking and other compensation analysis.  Partners with the Compensation Department on specialty projects.

Design, implement and manage broad base compensation programs, including job architecture, salary structures, merit/promotion increase plans and incentive programs to align with business objectives and legal requirements.

Collaborate with Human Resources in understanding organizational structures and roles; performs job evaluations, including FLSA assessments, analyze market data, internal equity reviews to determine appropriate pay ranges and job classifications.

Ensure compliance with all federal, state and/or local regulations related to compensation practices.

Analyze compensation data, create reports and assist in development and management of compensation budget.

Able to prepare and present compensation data to influence business leaders.  This includes utilizing both data and trusted relationships so that the best possible outcome for Deluxe can be achieved.

End to end management of annual compensation projects (i.e. merit, incentive payments, promotion cycles, etc.)

Participate in salary surveys and stay abreast of internal and external compensation changes to ensure compliance and competitiveness of program.

 

Basic Qualifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related experience or high school diploma/GED and 9 years of related experience Proficiency in compensation analysis, design and administration.Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to use pivot tables, charts and complex formula. Experience with HRIS (Workday) systems used to manage compensation.  Deep understanding of compensation principles, practices and regulations, including FLSA, wage and hour laws and pay transparency.Must be 18 years of age or older

 

Preferred Qualifications

CSCP or CCP certification Advanced project management skills and able to meet deadlines on time, flawlessly.Ability to identify and resolve complex compensation issues.Strong written and verbal communications skills and able to explain complex compensation concepts to stakeholders.Proven ability to manage highly sensitive and confidential information with discretion.Demonstrated success in working collaboratively with HR and other departments to deliver results.

Compensation

The compensation range for this position is $110,000.00 - $125,000.00 annually. This position will be eligible for commission or an annual performance incentive plan. The base pay actually offered will vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, location, experience and take into account internal equity.
