You and Your JobAs Senior Communications Manager, you’ll lead the creation of high-impact internal communications and thought leadership content that deepens employee engagement and business acumen. Your work will align with Rabobank’s strategy and vision—highlighting its expertise in food and agribusiness, innovation, and sustainability.
The Senior Communications Manager will lead the development of strategic internal communication plans that engage employees at all levels—from analysts and new joiners to the North America Executive Team. This role is pivotal in delivering clear, compelling messaging across Wholesale, Rural, RDS, and DLL domains, while reinforcing Rabobank’s core values and strategic pillars.
Partnering closely with senior leadership—including the North America C-Suite, Head of Wholesale Banking North America, Head of Rabo AgriFinance, office heads, and leaders in key areas such as M&A and Project Finance—the manager will support high-impact initiatives and events. Communications will span a variety of platforms and formats, including intranet, email, webinars, video, infographics, and both virtual and in-person internal events.
Job ResponsibilitiesPromote transparency and cohesion within the organization through effective communications, collaborating as a trusted advisor to the North America Executive Team leadership and various business and support areas across the bank.
Strategically plan and oversee the execution of communications-based events such as regional town halls, quarterly business updates (WBNA or RAF), and other all-staff webinars as needed.
Establish and track communications KPIs, contributing internal communications statistics to the quarterly Marketing & Communications results tracker.
Craft consistent and compelling messaging and storytelling through speeches, presentations, and written formats for the North America Executive Team (NAET) and other senior leaders.
Lead the development of internal communications strategies that promote a culture of transparency, inclusivity and strategic alignment. Support change management initiatives with clear empathetic, and timely messaging.
Co-develop and execute a comprehensive annual internal communications strategy that amplifies leadership voice, enhances employee experience, and supports business transformation efforts.

Your Promise to Us:To be considered for the Senior Communications Manager role, you must have:
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field.
10+ years of corporate communications, journalism, agency or marketing communications experience highly desirable
Proven ability to lead communications projects from inception to completion, including delegating tasks and managing teams to achieve objectives.
Demonstrated high level of cooperation with executive-level staff and business heads, establishing and maintaining strong relationships.
Exceptional ability to command attention and communicate professionally with executive-level employees.
Provide sound, consultative communications guidance and support.
Utilize survey feedback and readership metrics to evaluate the impact of events and published articles.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to streamline processes to create more efficient workflows and save time in the communications process.
Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems and navigate various situations where limited standards exist, requiring critical thinking for effective resolutions.
Proven capability to effectively interact with a diverse range of stakeholders, including global and regional leadership, Wholesale and Rural leadership, consultants, project managers, news media, customers, and employees.
Extensive knowledge of public relations, journalism, corporate communications, communications strategy, agriculture, advertising, and integrated marketing.
Skilled in managing and integrating multiple interests, including those of local, regional, and global leaders, employees, clients, prospective clients, media, and centers of influence.
Experience collaborating with senior executives and multi-functional or remote colleagues.
Creative and adept at storytelling through communications plans, with the ability to tailor messages to specific audiences.
Presence that commands attention and inspires followership.
Crisp writing style that is concise, impactful, and clear.
Engaging verbal communication style that is modulated and crystal clear.
Ability to identify compelling story ideas that resonate with both internal and external audiences.
Flexible, able to think on their feet, and juggle multiple tasks effectively.

Ability to travel regionally up to 15%

Salary Expectations:Target Hiring Range: $160,000.00 - $180,000.00
This position is subject to the terms of [RAF/Rabobank/RDS]’s compensation plans and policies. It is anticipated that the position will pay within the target hiring range. The range is reflective of the desired primary physical work location and may be adjusted outside of the projected range based on geographical differentiation if the actual work location of the hired candidate differs from the desired primary location, or for other lawful reasons.
