JLL is currently seeking an experienced professional for Senior Commissioning Manager to join the Project Delivery Service team in Vancouver.  This team manages some of the largest commissioning projects in the province, across various industries including infrastructure, health care and mission critical facilities.

We will rely on your expertise in building systems to navigate challenging projects and clients demands. The ideal candidate will be well versed in electrical systems. In this client facing role, you will expected to be onsite to provide real time management and feedback (approximate travel 10-20%). There will also be opportunity to work from the JLL downtown office and from home.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Understand Security, Communications, Mechanical, and Electrical equipment/systems and associated commissioning activitiesHave fluency with all commissioning processes and deliverables covered in ASHRAE, CSA, and LEED commissioning requirementsMonitor, review, and execute all facets of Commissioning related projects by providing exceptional technical and managerial expertise.Liaise with team members, outside consultants and contractors to assist CBA in leading cross functional teams on various projects.The candidate will protect JLL’s contractual position and ensure our work meets contracted requirementsManage or jointly manage commissioning projectsCarry out field-based commissioning activities, including:Site visitsStart-up and test witnessingFunctional TestingIntegrated Systems TestingPerform Commissioning Design Drawing & Specification Reviews, as well as Submittal (shop drawing) reviewsChair Commissioning MeetingsPrepare Pre-functional checklistsPrepare Functional Test FormsPrepare Integrated Systems Test Forms, including CAN/ULC S1001 Test PlansHave fluency/understanding with how to use calibrated testing equipment used in the commissioning process (flow hoods, anemometers, pitot tubes, IR cameras, various meters, etc.)Develop, track and resolve issues using an Issues LogUnderstanding of how to develop and execute seasonal/performance testsAbility to develop/review training programs for installed equipment and systemsThe candidate will manage, front to back, all of the project documentation requirements.  The intent is to be accountable for the preparation, review, and issuance of same, and though these tasks may be delegated, there may/will be the need to personally prepare them to meet the required timelinesThe candidate will manage, front to back, all of the field activity components.  This includes scheduling and coordinating JLL team members accordingly, ensuring our requirements are fulfilled by the contractor and relevant sub-trades, and maximizing efficiency/productivity of our staff.

WHAT YOU BRING:

8+ years of relevant experience in commissioning and project managementPost-secondary degree in engineering, ideally with major in electricalAny (or combination) of BCxP/CCP/CBCP/CEM/LEED AP designations is considered an assetP.Eng/PE or PMP designation is considered an assetExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in MS Project, Word, and ExcelProficiency with commissioning softwareDemonstrated ability to coordinate and organize multiple sources of schedule inputs/performance data into a master schedule platform and deliver project/program status reports as required.  Demonstrated ability to analyze and report against contractor (and other third party) schedule updates receivedExperience working in a consultancy or owner organization is an asset

Estimated total compensation for this position:

120,000.00 – 155,000.00 CAD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
