Our client who is a leading leasing companies in Europe, offering locomotives and passenger trains is currently looking for a Senior Commercial Manager (m/w/d) in Cologne.
Job DescriptionHandling the national and international growth and development of the company’s leasing activities from the Cologne office Managing projects related to the current fleet and developing new-build projects Working on multi-year European tenders for railway operations and rolling stock Leading and collaborating with interdisciplinary project teams on the conception, development, negotiation, and documentation of complex commercial contracts with customers and suppliers.Providing the interface to customers, suppliers, and internal departments such as Engineering, Finance, Accounting and Legal, in compliance with the Vision, Mission and Values.Creative involvement in developing our product offerings and operational procedures. QualificationsIdeally 10+ years’ experience in railway related project management or account management with a focus on sales and business development.Master’s degree or similar in business administration / economics / MBA or similar.Proven track record of successfully managing multi-year tenders.Ability to structure projects and steer them by managing all relevant stakeholders.Good knowledge of public tender law is a plus.Analytical mindset and good attention to detail.Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as planning and organization skills.Experience in (key) account management, dealing with customers and suppliers on all management levels.Understanding of the European railway market and its regulations.Good networker and outgoing personality.Willingness to frequent travelling (Europe)Fluent in German and English Additional InformationThis position will require you to work regularly from the Cologne office and will also require travelling around Germany. Relocation support would be provided if required.
