UGL has a strategic partnership with the Department of Defence across the Defence Fuels Network for Fuels Management, Asset Management, Operations and Maintenance. We are recruiting a Contract Administration Document Controller to join our business in what is an exciting and unique opportunity to work in Australia’s Defence environment and support national security requirements of the Nation.
This role is expected to be for a duration of 6 months and we are flexible regarding the location of this role. Commencing in September/October.
Key responsibilities:
Senior Commercial Manager supporting the Defence Services LOB reporting into GM Defence Services.Core to the role is an ability to understand client contracts of different types for complex projects and discern key risks and develop mitigations in consultation with subject matter experts, manage policy non-compliances appropriately in adherence to UGL’s governance processes, prepare drafting and manage/lead client-facing contract negotiations.A high level of engagement and collaboration with Senior Legal Counsel and supporting the Defence Fuels Managing Contractor Contract including with respect to contract extensions, contract changes, and the review, response and approval of subcontractor departures.Ideal attributes
You will be a self-motivated individual with high levels of commercial and contractual acumen and be capable of working across the full contract and bid/project life-cycle and managing competing business priorities.Experience in Commonwealth contracts is preferred.Knowledge of the Defence industry and operating environment is an advantage but not essential.Experience with Joint Venture agreements and US Government contract terms is an advantage but not essential.Must be Australian citizen and either hold or be capable of holding a valid Defence Security Clearance.
