Senior Commercial Finance Manager, Supply Chain
DescriptionResponsibilities:\nHighly commercial role working closely with the Supply Chain and Technology Operational leadership teams to maximise performance and influence business strategy\nEvaluate business cases ensuring end to end business considerations are considered as well as post implementation review\nEnsure accurate and timely preparation of month end and other financial reports for senior management, investors and stakeholders.\nLead weekly third-party logistics performance reviews\nOwn and control the annual budget and re-forecasting process with cross functional collaboration and scenario modelling for both Supply Chain and Technology areas\n\nFinancial Analysis and Decision Support: \nDeliver insightful analysis to both the Supply Chain and Technology stakeholder groups, ensuring we capitalise on opportunities and highlight any deviation from plan\nResponsible for month end reporting, budgeting and forecasting\nBe a true business partner with the gravitas to provide recommendations to senior leadership on cost management options and management of the functional outlook\nProvide insight on key cost drivers and challenge findings\n\nCost Optimization: Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements across the business\nCross-Functional Collaboration: \nPartner with sales, marketing, operations, and other departments to align financial goals with commercial objectives.\nSupport the development of business strategies that drive sustainable growth and profitability.\nReview and input into supplier commercial agreements\n\nReporting and Compliance: \nDeliver insightful Board reporting with a focus on the story behind the numbers rather than production of pure data led information\nMaintain compliance with financial regulations and reporting standards.\n\nTeam Leadership: \nLead and mentor the team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.\nProvide guidance and support to junior staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality financial analysis and decision-making.\nSkills and Attributes: \nStakeholder support is a vital part of the role. Be truly commercial which will include partnering with your colleagues in finance and other functional areas\nSupport the development of business strategies that align with overall organizational goals\nChallenge the output. Be curious about data and reporting to focus on the ‘So what’?\n What we are looking for:\nA professional finance qualification with a minimum of 5 years PQE\nSeveral years supply chain experience and a track record of supporting all relevant stakeholders in the function\nAn expert modeller. Advanced Excel skills with experience of building accurate financial models from scratch\nThe ability to create insightful, concise and clear presentations with visuals and supporting information for reader to understand without the need for further questions or analysis\nBe commercially curious, draw conclusions and propose recommendations\nConfident, approachable and with an attention to detail highlighting your problem-solving skills\nA balanced approach to challenge at all stakeholder levels based on accurate and clear analysis with the support of other relevant insight\nProven track record in driving business results through financial insights and strategic planning\nAbility to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.\nExperience of using ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and other financial software applications\n
