A Commercial Engineer positively affects the success of the Rockwell Automation business by being involved in many diverse challenging projects that help allow the larger Rockwell Automation sales channel you will work with Marketing, Sales, and Engineering to support customer engagements and help evolve the Connected Enterprise Story with a specific focus on simulation and emulation solutions built around Rockwell Automation's integrated architecture controls and smart devices technologies.

We are looking for the ability work with geographically and organizationally diverse teams. Also, application development skills, commercial skills are also necessary. You have some travel globally, up to 15% (scheduled when possible), to support overall our goals such as tradeshows, training and customer visits.

Your responsibilities:

Be a technical expert to lead pre-sale customer engagementsWork directly with customers to aid in high visibility presales opportunitiesPrepare technical documentation, presentations, webinars, videos and tools to improve Salesforce and domain expert effectiveness and support industry trade showsEvaluate products and provide feedback on features and performanceDevelop enhancements and gap solutions to meet specific opportunity demandsGuide and develop technical materials to support technical competency programsConduct customer demonstrations remotely and in Customer Solutions & Experience CentersKeep current with latest, relevant industry trends in simulation and design technologiesGlobal responsibility could include early morning and/or late evening phone calls/meetings

You will have:

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or other related disciplineWe will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job openingTravel 15-20% of time(10) years of experience (or equivalent) with Integrated Architecture family of products, such as Studio 5000 Logix Designer, ControlLogix/CompactLogix, industrial motor control components, sensors, IO-Link technologyManufacturing Industry experienceCommunicate the impact of the lowest component on the machine to the machine/system productivityGeneral application programming experience object-oriented programmingWorking knowledge and proficiency in:Studio 5000ControlLogix controllersMotor control components such as overloads, soft starters, contactors, motion, low voltage drives, motorsSensors and switchesIO Link technology
