Your Role:
You will lead business development for the company’s viral vector CDMO Services in the Boston, MA area, focusing on AAV, LVV, adenovirus, and other viruses. Your goal is to expedite biotech companies' transition from early clinical stages to market.
Responsibilities:
Drive market entry and growth by developing territory plans, identifying target customers, and applying effective marketing strategies.Utilize consultative and strategic selling skills to build new customer relationships and expand existing accounts.Understand the Gene Therapy market, manufacturing processes, and regulatory environments to make informed strategic decisions.Collaborate with the Head of Commercial Development and technical teams to identify opportunities and negotiate service contracts.Engage proactively with customers, attend technical discussions, represent the Gene Therapy business at conferences, and lead contract negotiations.
Travel Requirement: Up to 40%.
Who You Are:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Engineering or related field5+ years in sales or client relations in bio-manufacturing environmentProven track record in negotiating long term/large scale contracts in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology environmentDemonstrated experience in identifying new cell and gene therapy target opportunities and acting to establish contacts – a proven “hunter”Experience in explaining technical capabilities and presentations to customers
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or PhD in related fieldKnowledge of Gene Therapy approvals and processes, process development, bioreactor technology, downstream processing and biological safety testing preferred.Experience in regulated environments, and strong project management and influencing skills.
Self-motivated individuals comfortable in a remote setting are encouraged to apply.
Pay Range for this position: $102,000 - 171,100.
