Job Description:

Responsibilities for DevOps Engineer

Work alongside project management teams to successfully monitor the progress and implementation of initiativesUnderstanding customer requirements and project KPIsImplementing various development, testing, automation tools, and IT infrastructurePlanning the team structure, activities, and involvement in project management activities.Managing stakeholders and external interfacesSetting up tools and required infrastructureDefining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operationHave the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.Troubleshooting techniques and fixing the code bugsMonitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastageEncouraging and building automated processes wherever possibleIdentifying and deploying cybersecurity measures by continuously performing vulnerability assessment and risk managementIncidence management and root cause analysisCoordination and communication within the team and with customersSelecting and deploying appropriate CI/CD toolsStrive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)Mentoring and guiding the team members Monitoring and measuring customer experience and KPIsManaging periodic reporting on the progress to the management and the customerProvide clear goals for all areas of a project and develop steps to oversee their timely executionAnalyze current technology utilized within the company and develop steps and processes to improve and expand upon them

Qualifications for DevOps Engineer

Excellent understanding of GitLab, Terraform, AWS, Lambda Function,  Python, Perl, and JavaConfiguration and managing databases such as RedshiftExcellent troubleshootingWorking knowledge of various tools, open-source technologies, and cloud servicesAwareness of critical concepts in DevOps and Agile principlesExperience developing engineering applications for a large corporationDemonstrated project development and leadership skillsCurrent understanding of best practices regarding system security measuresExperience working together with teams from several departments to facilitate the orderly execution of a proposed project planProfessional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications Infrastructure as Code -Working knowledge of backend container, orchestrator - AWS, API Expose - AWS API Gateway, Service Discovery of Microservices - AWS, Packaging - Docker, Packer Code quality review

Compensation Details:

$130,000 - $155,000 / Year

Compensation is commensurate with skill, education and experience. 

Supplemental Pay: 

This position may also be eligible for Bonus opportunities tied to individual or business initiatives.
