Job Description:Work with program leadership to plan, develop, and implement clinical documentation education programs for CDI staff and clinicians. Analyze data to ascertain where stronger education is needed for both clinicians and reviewers. Work on efforts to improve provider clinical documentation and providing an accurate clinical picture of the patient including severity of illness, risk, and resource utilization.
Conduct, mentor and educate individual and large group educational sessions for all CDI staff and/or clinicians.

Education Qualifications:

Qualifications:

Current licensure by the applicable state board of nursing as an RN (Registered Nurse).
Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist Certification (CCDS) required upon hire. ​

Bachelor’s degree or in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Work Experience:
2 years of clinical documentation improvement work experience OR at least 3 years professional nursing experience, preferably in the medical, surgical, or ICU.
Advanced clinical expertise and extensive knowledge of complex disease processes with a broad clinical experience is required.
