This position is full-time Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
We offer 3 weeks of on-the-job training. The hours of the training will be from 8:30 am - 5:00 pm CST.
**Primary Responsibilities:**
+ Act as a Subject Matter Expert for other team members
+ Manage the intake of members or the admission/discharge information post notification
+ Work with sales and the clinical team to manage requests for services
+ Manage the referral process, processing incoming and outgoing referrals and prior authorizations, including intake, notification and census roles
+ Resolve inquiries from internal partners
+ Deal positively with sales partners in sometimes challenging circumstances serving as a subject matter expert, you'll also be the "go-to" resource for information

**Required Qualifications:**
+ High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
+ Must be 18 years of age or older
+ 2+ years of experience analyzing and solving customer problems
+ 2+ years of experience working in the health care industry
+ 2+ years of experience working with medical terminology
+ 2+ years of experience with benefit verification
+ Ability to work overtime required in the first 6 weeks of the year with occasional Saturdays based on business need
+ Ability to work Monday - Friday, in any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:30 am - 5:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends
**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Experience working with health care insurance
+ Experience in a hospital, physician's office OR medical clinic setting
+ Experience working with Medicare and / OR Medicaid Services
+ Experience with reimbursement review
+ Experience with 3rd party manufacturer patient assistance
+ Experience with medical insurance contract terminology
**Telecommuting Requirements:**
+ Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
+ Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
+ Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $20.00 - $35.72 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
