Reporting directly to the NAM Head of Law Firm Management, the role will be responsible for supporting the contracting of claims Law Firms, engaging in the collection of Law Firm due diligence, issuing contract documentation, supporting commercial negotiations, and storing and uploading all commercial agreements.

How you will create an impact

Full Time US-based employment, the Claims Law Firm Analyst shall be responsible for the following activities:

Participate in end to end acquisition of smaller Law Firms with an annual spend of less than $500K for Insurance Claims processing and adjudication commodities. This shall include;Negotiate commercial contracts from AIG’s Law Firm contract template;Participate and lead Law Firm pricing negotiations;Document and summarize the agreed commercial terms accurately; andCollect and store all required due diligence documentation in line with the team’s standard operating process.Support Claims Law Firm Managers with spend data analysis, data queries, and reporting, which support line of business Law Firm strategies or complex / high value Law Firm negotiations;Documentation and website updates, keeping business facing documents / webpages which reflect AIG’s commercial positions with Law Firms accurate and current;Work with claims handlers to understand the claims business area, and the cost drivers that result in AIG’s claims total cost;Follow legal guidance and other support groups to ensure completion of acceptable contracts;Perform other ad hoc assignments to enable AIG to more cost-effectively procure services; andMonitoring and responding to inquiries received by stakeholders and Law Firms in team’s inbox.

What you’ll need to succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field and/or equivalent combination of experience; insurance or financial services industry preferred.Minimum 5 years prior experience working with Claims Law Firms.Experience working with commercial negotiations and drafting contract.Strong critical thinking and analytical reasoning (quantitative and qualitative) that can be applied in a problem-solving scenario.Strong organizational, customer service, leadership/influencing and negotiation skillsAbility to perform complex data analysis, report on spend analysis, KPI’s, savings, trends, etc.Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, etc, MS Word, PowerPoint, and MS Outlook.English
