Senior Civil Engineer
Johnson Service Group is searching for a Senior Civil Engineer to support the ground infrastructure component of the Sentinel Program, which is modernizing the ground-based leg of the U.S. nuclear deterrent triad, including intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) systems and launch infrastructure. This is an onsite position  just outside Salt Lake City, Utah. This position is for a Civil Engineer who will prepare designs for earthwork, underground commodities, roads, foundations, profiles associated with DOD and USAF projects. The successful candidate must have strong organizational and teamwork skills, proven problem-solving abilities, can-do attitude, and the desire to innovate designs. This role will specifically support the USAF Ground Based Strategic Deterrent (GBSD) program Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase.

FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Development of grading and backfill design and drawings. Road design and design documents. Foundation design and drawings. Assist with boring oversight, and site inspection and review of existing facilities. Perform formal calculations and drawings. Review vendor information from subcontractors and integrate it into the design solution. Execute to schedule requirement while maintaining a high degree of quality in work product. Coordinate closely with other technical disciplines in planning and executing work as an integrated team. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience. Experience with Microsoft office programs, VISIO, and other common computer programs. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). Ability to utilize office automation tools effectively. Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards. Relevant experience includes related specifications. Broad knowledge of the application of Civil engineering design principles. PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:  MS degree in Civil or related Engineering, from an accredited university. Registered Professional Engineer in USA (Civil Engineering). Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ISO-9000. Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense. Experience with use or knowledge of Revit and/or InRoads. Intermediate knowledge of developing CSI Masterformat specifications, or SpecsIntact. Design experience with Unified Facilities Criteria and the Whole Building Design Guide. Experience in complex excavation approaches and construction execution, field experience is preferred. Targeted pay for this position is $75.00/Hour
