Senior Civil Engineer
Location: On-site in Pittsburgh, PA
Contract Duration: 3–6 months
Per Diem: $178/day (7 days/week)
Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking to take on challenging, hands-on work in a fast-paced industrial environment? We’re seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team for a contract role supporting high-impact projects across multiple sectors—including oil & gas, energy, renewables, food & beverage, and more.
This position offers the opportunity to lead civil and structural design efforts on-site, contributing your expertise to projects involving equipment installations, repairs, facility upgrades, and redevelopments.
What You’ll Be Doing:Lead civil/structural engineering activities on a range of industrial projects—from small-scale site modifications to large, multi-discipline efforts.
Conduct performance investigations, field visits, and structural evaluations to support project development.
Develop design bases, technical calculations, and engineering documentation (including 3D models, sketches, and specs).
Perform structural analysis using tools like RISA, RISA Foundation, Excel, and hand calculations.
Create and review technical drawings and stamp engineering documents as needed.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and interface directly with clients.
Ensure work complies with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations.
? What You Bring to the Table:Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
10+ years of experience in civil/structural design—experience in heavy industrial or glass sectors is a plus
Proficiency in structural analysis methods and software (RISA preferred)
Strong understanding of construction methods and site health, safety, and environmental regulations
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Experience in writing technical proposals and preparing design documentation
Proven ability to mentor and lead junior engineers or project teams
Professional Engineering (PE) license preferred
