We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Designer (Concrete) to join our Istanbul office for industrial projects. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in civil and structural design, with strong skills in reinforced concrete detailing, structure and equipment foundations, site grading, paving and road layouts, and excavation planning.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare detailed 2D drawings for reinforced concrete structures, equipment foundations, pipe rack and building foundations
Develop paving layouts, road layouts, and excavation/backfilling plans in accordance with project specifications and safety standards
Collaborate with civil/structural engineers to ensure constructible, accurate and cost-effective design deliverables
Coordinate with other disciplines (piping, mechanical, electrical, etc.) to ensure interdisciplinary compatibility
Apply relevant codes and standards (e.g., ACI, BS, Eurocode) in design development
Review vendor data and incorporate into civil design packages
Support site construction teams with clarifications, redlining and as-built updates when necessary
*Qualifications
Technical associate degree (preferably in Civil Drafting or Design); additional certifications or training is a plusMinimum 10 years of experience in civil design for oil & gas, petrochemical or industrial facility projectsStrong proficiency in AutoCAD (2D), and preferably experience with Civil 3D, SmartPlant, or similar toolsSolid understanding of reinforced concrete design concepts, detailing, and industry best practicesFamiliarity with discipline deliverables such as\:Foundation formwork drawingsReinforcement detailingFoundation location drawingsEarthworks and grading plansPaving and roadwork drawingsFluent in English (written and spoken)Ability to work independently and mentor junior designers when requiredMoving forward together
