Senior Chef
Job Overview We are looking for a Senior Chef to join our team at Willows Bend in Fridley, MN! This position is responsible for ensuring that meals are prepared and presented in accordance with applicable regulations and customer expectations. This nutrition leadership schedule includes; 80 hours every two weeks Full time; Day shift Includes every other weekend rotation Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Properly cook foods to specified temperatures, Products meet temperature and quality standards. Follow standardized recipes and products to ensure products are consistent in quality and nutritional value. Assist with the special events. Handle and prepare food in a safe manner following policies and procedures of infection control and safety Sanitize equipment and work area after each use: Maintain a “clean as you go” attitude demonstrated by a clean work area. Ability to supervise kitchen staff: Supervise daily operations in absence of Culinary Director. Assists with training of new staff. Responsible for resident/guest customer service in absence of the Culinary Director. Obtain feedback from residents/guests regarding quality of meals and food service. Hold staff accountable for daily duties i.e.: temp logs, cleaning logs, refrigeration logs etc. Complete Action Plans with Culinary Director for staff not meeting current service standards for Ebenezer. Receiving all procured orders and verify before signing off. Conduct “table touches” during service to ensure the standards are being met with our residents. Assist in performing Staff Evaluations. Assist in scheduling/finding replacements for call ins. Observe kitchen operations and offer coaching and re-education when necessary.
