+ Create, plan and execute tests for chassis control systems, focusing on vehicle dynamics, safety, and reliability.
+ Conduct vehicle testing, including ride and handling evaluations, stability assessments, and performance tuning, using data acquisition and analysis tools to monitor key performance metrics.
+ Collaborate with the Chassis Controls Engineering team to define test requirements, methods, and success criteria for chassis systems.
+ Assist in the installation, calibration, and troubleshooting of chassis control systems, including steering, suspension, braking, and stability systems, with an emphasis on vehicle dynamics.
+ Support the setup, configuration, and maintenance of a Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) bench, including the integration of chassis control modules for simulation and testing.
+ Instrument test vehicles with sensors, data loggers, and other diagnostic equipment to monitor chassis and vehicle dynamics parameters.
+ Analyze and interpret data from vehicle dynamics testing, providing insights to support engineering development and tuning of control systems.
+ Repair and maintain prototype vehicles, including chassis components and control systems, to ensure they are test-ready.
+ Manage the fleet of test vehicles, including scheduling, upkeep, and record-keeping.
+ Travel to various testing locations to support vehicle setup, operation, and data collection.
+ Document testing procedures, results, and modifications to support continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
+ Stay up-to-date with industry standards and best practices for electric vehicle chassis control systems, instrumentation, and HIL testing.
+ Associate degree in Automotive Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
+ Experience in vehicle testing, data acquisition, and analysis, particularly with chassis control systems (e.g., steering, braking, suspension).
+ Familiarity with vehicle dynamics concepts and testing methods, including ride and handling evaluations.
+ Hands-on experience with vehicle dynamics, chassis systems, and instrumentation for data collection and analysis.
+ Experience with HIL systems and vehicle simulation environments is highly desirable.
+ Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.
+ Proficiency with data acquisition tools and diagnostic software (e.g., CANalyzer, CANoe, MATLAB).
+ Familiarity with vehicle dynamics concepts and testing methods, such as ride and handling evaluations.
+ Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
+ Experience with vehicle testing, racing and/or at limit driving
+ Proving Ground driving certification
+ Willingness to travel for test trips and vehicle development as required.
