Senior Catering Sales Manager - Hilton San Diego Bayfront

As Senior Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the development of market segment(s) including solicitation of new customer relationships, negotiation of business through proposals and contracts to close business.

What will I be doing?

\n

As Senior Catering Manager, you will be responsible for the development of market segment(s) including solicitation of new customer relationships, negotiation of business through proposals and contracts to close business. Creative design of menus and events to maximize revenue and event experience.  Maintain existing relationships with corporate and social accounts. Fostering all internal customer relationships to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout the contracting, pre-event, event, and post-event phases of events.  This position primarily handles complex social events.  Directs event logistics to affected departments and team members responsible for event execution.  Serve as the primary contact and is responsible for his/her experience.   May support and act on the behalf of the Director of Catering and Events

Specifically, your essential functions will be to perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

\n\nTo organize, plan and prioritize your duties by developing plans and goals. \nCreate and maintain relationships with clients to set and meet client expectations and deliver on those expectations.  Demonstrate knowledge of job systems, products, systems, and processes. \nResolve conflicts and negotiate with others while handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances and conflicts. \nMake decisions and solve problems by analyzing and evaluating the issues and determine the best solution.  \nEnsure high quality service by communicating and assisting others to understand the guest needs, providing direction and guidance, feedback and individual coaching when needed. \nParticipate in customer site inspections and assist with the sales process as necessary. \nTimely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person. \nRegular attendance\nTimely communication to internal and external clients via telephone, email, written documents or in person. \n

What are we looking for?

\n\n Minimum Years of Experience: 2-3 years in catering sales specifically in local social catering and weddings experience.\n Experience in supervision or management of at least 1person.\nExperience in Selling 200-400 person events\n\n

The annual salary range for this role is $76,000-$90,000 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.  #LI-JL2
