**Senior Category Buyer – Direct**

At Grundfos, we are driven by a powerful purpose: to pioneer solutions to the world’s water and climate challenges and improve the quality of life for people.As a **Senior Category Buyer – Direct** , you’ll play a key role in driving value-based sourcing strategies, optimizing supplier performance, and contributing to innovation and sustainability across our global supply chain.
This is a new role, where you will work as a pivotal member of a much larger project related to supplier resilience.
This role will be based in Székesfehervár, Hungary and will report to the Purchasing Manager.
**What you’ll do:**
+ Support and execute sourcing strategies in collaboration with the Category Manager.
+ Lead tendering processes including eRFIs, RFQs, and e-auctions.
+ Prepare data and fact packs for supplier negotiations and contract implementation.
+ Monitor supplier performance and support improvement initiatives.
+ Participate in developing Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) strategies.
+ Ensure accurate vendor master data and purchasing conditions.
+ Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders in Purchasing, Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, and Product Development.
**Your background:**
+ Relevant commercial or technical education (apprenticeship, associate degree, or equivalent).
+ 3+ years of experience in a similar purchasing or sourcing role.
+ Strong communication skills and fluency in English.
+ Knowledge of procurement best practices, systems, and tools.
+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global matrix environment
+ Analytical and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
+ Strong relationship builder and team player.
+ Skilled in following procedures and delivering results.
+ Comfortable working with data, contracts, and supplier performance metrics
+ Driving license
