We are looking for an experienced and proactive **Senior Calibration Technician** to join our Dubai-based team. This role is crucial for overseeing and executing calibrations of **OTT HydroMet Pyranometers** and related devices, while also taking a leadership role in driving operational excellence, supporting regional growth, and optimizing calibration lab performance.
The Senior Calibration Technician will play a pivotal role in **reporting key performance metrics** such as **Revenue** and **On-Time Delivery (OTD)** , applying **lean methodologies** to streamline operations, offering **local technical support** , and **expanding calibration volumes** across the region.
**Key Responsibilities:**
+ Perform and oversee calibrations of **OTT HydroMet Pyranometers** and similar solar radiation instruments in accordance with industry standards.
+ Ensure timely, high-quality service aligned with On-Time Delivery (OTD) targets and calibration accuracy expectations.
+ Support administrative processes including calibration documentation, customer communication, and timely invoicing.
+ Manage logistics around the movement of instruments into and out of the calibration lab.
+ **Track, analyze, and report Revenue and OTD metrics** to local and regional management on a regular basis.
+ Identify, lead, and implement **process improvements** using **Lean principles** and **continuous improvement methodologies** .
+ Provide **local technical support** to customers and internal stakeholders, including troubleshooting and technical guidance.
+ Actively engage in **expanding calibration volume** by identifying regional opportunities, supporting business development efforts, and ensuring service readiness.
+ Mentor junior technicians and support skill development within the local team.
+ Maintain calibration equipment and ensure compliance with quality standards and audit requirements.

**Qualifications & Experience:**
+ Degree or Diploma in **Electrical Engineering** or related technical field (required)
+ Minimum **3–5 years of experience** in calibration, preferably in the **solar energy industry**
+ Experience with **Kipp & Zonen** or similar solar radiation instruments (preferred)
+ Proven experience in **reporting operational metrics** and **leading process improvements**
+ Familiarity with **Lean/Six Sigma** tools and methodology (certification is a plus)
**Skills Required:**
+ Excellent **spoken and written English**
+ Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
+ Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel for reporting)
+ Customer-oriented mindset with strong communication skills
+ Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail
