Job Details:
Purpose
We are seeking a Senior CADD Specialist to prepare and maintain quality hardware mechanical and facility design documentation. This position will be responsible for preparing mechanical/schematic drawings of electronic devices and products, IT infrastructures and site and facilities.
Responsibilities
Draft remodel projects with particular interest in ADA compliance, fire safety, and usage efficiency.
Support Assistant Director for Operational Support Services with various remodel and construction project planning and conceptualization.
Facilitate archival drawing digitization, indexing, cataloging, and storage.
Assist in space utilization studies and space usage documentation.
Assist with document management, retrieval, and distribution.
Assist with procurement of machinery components from technical data packages.
Other related functions as assigned.
Required QualificationsHS/GED
Four years of architectural and/or engineering CADD drafting experience.
Demonstrated familiarity with 3D parametric modeling.
Demonstrated knowledge or ability to produce technical documentation in recent versions of Autodesk AutoCAD and Vault.
Demonstrated knowledge or ability to express and present technical principles, and possess excellent writing, editing, and information organizational skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including demonstrated ability to communicate technical detail to staff and stakeholders of varying backgrounds and experiences.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively, both independently and collaboratively with peers, clients, and management, with a strong commitment to contribution and enabling the entire team.
Strong organizational skills and focus.
Strong analytical and problem solving capability.
Able to work under pressure across multiple projects with tight deadlines.
Able to accept supervision and frequently changing project parameters.
Ability to work independently as well as with peers, clients, and management.
Regular and punctual attendance.
Willingness to submit portfolio of work samples.
Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Preferred QualificationsAssociate Degree in Computer-Aided Design/Drafting
Two or more years experience providing CAD services in support of hardware mechanical design or manufacturing.
Two or more years experience providing CAD services in support of facilities design or construction.
Two or more years experience providing CAD services in support of IT infrastructure design or construction. (Such as data center layout drawings, rack elevations, wiring diagrams, data center power or HVAC layout drawings, data center floor plans or building plans.)
Demonstrated familiarity with ASME standards.
Immediate or previous eligibility to access classified information.
Experience with version control systems.
Five years of architectural and/or engineering CADD drafting experience.
Willingness to learn additional software packages including SolidWorks.
Experience drafting networking drawings per TIA-568-E, TIA-569-E, TIA-607-E, and TIA-942-C
US Citizen: Subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information at the level appropriate to the project requirements of the position.
