Our Opening and Your ResponsibilitiesRole/Purpose:This position is responsible for Maintaining Design Standards for all of Engineering, and enhance the user experience by developing and implementing streamlined design workflows. These systems and processes work toward the goal of increasing overall Engineering production and quality. The position will oversee Technical Projects and various activities in support of the engineering management function of the organization. In support of these goals, the Senior CAD Administrator will directly or indirectly lead a team of Engineers, Engineering Interns, or Engineering Administrators.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Teamcenter Power User Provide user supportWork with Global PLM TeamDocument and Resolve Internal Issues and IncidentsDevelop Standard Operating ProceduresCollaborate with Global PLM users within the organizationCreate and Track SNOW Incidents for all users as neededCAD Subject Matter ExpertProvide expert knowledge of CAD systemsMaintain Design Style and Standards for all usersInstall and Configure Engineering SoftwareIdentify and Analyze user needs as well as equipment requirementsDevelop and Maintain user References and Training MaterialsProvide Training and support for new and existing usersComputer Technology SupporterDevelop Custom Tools to improve Engineering efficiencyWork closely with IT for Engineering requirementsDeploy Software Upgrades to usersPerform software and operating system maintenance Maintain Software Licenses and System Requirements for all usersiLogic Template DeveloperDevelop Design Enhancing Add-insIntegrate Design Standards and Quality Assurances for all usersDecrease Engineering Design TimeUse Programming Language to Develop Intelligent CAD DataCustomize Design Templates to increase Engineering productionEnforcing of Design StandardsIdentify potential / existing issues and implement preventative solutionsWork with Quality and Service to improve Design MethodsReduce re-work and service issues related to EngineeringInitiate Corrective Actions and Rectify breaches in Quality and StandardsInvestigate Technical Aspects and Root Cause of design errorsDevelop Design Guidelines and create supporting documentationManage Engineering Projects Streamline Engineering Work ProcessesCrystal Report Development and MaintenanceAssess Engineering needs and make necessary improvementsEnsure Collaborative relationship with other departmentsConsolidate and Manage archive and legacy engineering data Maintain engineering information databasesOccasional travel required (up to 15%) for meetings with the Global PLM team, consultations with SMEs from other sites, trade conventions, and other opportunities to help grow our CAD implementationMaintains highest achievable 5S ratings throughout all areas of responsibilityAlways considers the company Green Initiative when planning activities, procuring supplies or disposing of materials or other assetsIn addition to our core values all employees must follow the Code of ConductMettler Toledo’s Vision Statement is: One Team – Global Reach – Amazing Solutions. What You Need to SucceedRequired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Good knowledge of Engineering, Fabrication, and Assembly processes.Good task and project management skills.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to provide informative and professional assistance when working with internal customers and co-workers, including maintaining positive interpersonal relationships which encourage openness.Demonstration of strong verbal and written communication skills to produce accurate, professional and error-free information.Cross-cultural sensitivity and ability to be a leader in dealing with multinational corporations.Maintain professional attitude with exceptional interpersonal skills. This position is considered safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing as permitted by law.
Minimum Education / Experience Required:Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred or a Technical degree with a minimum of 2 years experienceDrafting SkillsAutodesk InventorKnowledge of GD&TMicrosoft Office proficientSoftware Development SkillsAutodesk iLogic experience preferredProgramming language experience required (C Sharp, VB.net, or similar)PLM Systems ExperienceTeamcenter experience preferredSAP experience a plus.
