Compensation Overview

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide market range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. As part of our comprehensive compensation and benefits program, employees are also eligible for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What Is the Opportunity?We are seeking a skilled Senior Business Systems Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of specific systems/applications lifecycle management. You will leverage your strong knowledge of business capabilities, products, and system domains to identify opportunities, support business needs, and communicate impacts of changes to applications or systems.What Will You Do?

Development Participation:

- Engage in the development and enhancement of key products and services, including:

RMIS Security support including, Single Sign On, Qlik Mismatch reports, Security testingDevelop a RMIS Security SharePoint SiteManage Job Class Coding support and developmentModernization of Global and Upline Load processesModernization and support of departmental SharePoint SitesRMIS Operations Workstation liaison with developers and SMEsManage Claim Update Utility expansionAssist with ‘ManagePI’ modernization

​Project Documentation and Coordination:

Assist in creating comprehensive project documentationParticipate in Agile refinement sessions with IT partnersWrite and take ownership of Agile user stories to guide development

Operations Support:

Contribute to the support, maintenance, and daily operations of listed products and services, as well as other customer solutionsIndependent Task Management:  Manage assigned tasks independently and efficientlyMeeting Participation:  Actively engage in or lead meetings both internally within Travelers and externally with customers to facilitate effective communication and collaborationSubject Matter Expertise:  Develop expertise in assigned products, databases, customer solutions, and services within RMIS OperationsProcess Improvement and Validation:  Assess the impact of changes, recommend improvements, validate solutions, and manage troubleshooting and change requests within RMIS OperationsWhat Will Our Ideal Candidate Have?Bachelor’s degree in business, MIS, or a related field preferredFive years of experience supporting business technology systems preferredAdvanced business perspective, understanding internal and external factors impacting the property casualty industryIntermediate proficiency in technology, analytical thinking, relationship management, communication, facilitation, teamwork, conflict management, change management/resilience, and risk-takingStrong collaboration skills with IT partnersAbility to work independently and manage multiple projectsExperience in Agile methodology is a plusExcellent communication skills for effective meeting participation and documentationStrong data analytics skills

What is a Must Have?

High school diploma or equivalent required.One year of experience supporting business technology systems required.
