Senior Business Systems Analyst - SAP Finance

Location This is a hybrid role based in our Glasgow office. Qualified applicants must live within commuting distance and expect to be on-site a minimum of two days per week, with the flexibility to work remotely for the remainder. Occasional travel (up to twice per year) may be required for broader team workshops or company events. About the Team & Role Our Finance Technology group partners with Accounting, Global Business Services, FP&A, and Treasury to keep our SAP S/4HANA platform running smoothly while driving continuous improvement. As the functional owner for Banking, Treasury, and Procure‑to‑Pay, you will provide day‑to‑day support, lead root‑cause fixes, and deliver strategic enhancements that help Sonos scale. What You’ll Do + Serve as the primary functional owner for Banking, Treasury, VIM, Settlement Management, and related FTM/PTP processes in SAP S/4HANA. + Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely completion of month‑end close activities for global Finance users. + Partner with stakeholders to scope, design, and deliver regulatory changes and process improvements. + Configure, test, and deploy SAP Finance solutions following Agile sprint cadence and DevOps practices. + Lead root‑cause analysis for recurring defects and implement preventive controls, documentation, and training. + Collaborate with integration teams on bank interfaces, payment formats, and external platforms such as Multi Bank Connector and OpenText. + Support finance analytics initiatives using CDS views, SAP Analytics Cloud, and other reporting tools. + Mentor team members and champion best practices across the Finance Technology community. What You’ll Need Basic Qualifications + 5+ years of hands‑on functional experience with SAP FICO or S/4HANA Finance covering GL, AP, AR, Banking, Indirect Procurement, and Fixed Assets. + Proven expertise configuring and supporting Bank Communication Management or Multi Bank Connector. + Demonstrated support of month‑end close and settlement processes in a global, multi‑currency environment. + Ability to write functional specs, perform unit and integration testing, and collaborate with technical teams along with our business partners in finance. + Experience working in Agile or Scrum teams and using Jira (or similar) to manage backlogs. + Strong stakeholder‑management and communication skills across time zones. + Qualified applicants must be able to work on‑site in the Glasgow office at least two days per week. Preferred Qualifications + SAP certification in S/4HANA Finance. + Experience with SAP Analytics Cloud, CDS views, and Fiori reporting. + Opentext/ VIM Experience + Background in consumer electronics or technology. + Knowledge of finance reporting requirements and best practices in standard functionality in S/4HANA. + Exposure to automation, RPA, or AI tools in Finance operations.
