We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Finance Business Partner. Join our Base and Estate Management team and play a key role responsible for financial planning and analysis, financial target setting, forecasting, comprehensive variance analysis. The role is to provide strategic financial advice and guidance and to provide advice to support decision making. Reporting to the Head of Finance - BEM, you'll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on all Finance related matters, providing guidance and support to leaders and employees.Facilitate the development of a culture of sustainable cost management.Drive working capital improvement through the Business Unit.Providing data-supported commercial & financial insights to the business.Experience with large data sets and system flows, with the ability to data mine.Display great interpersonal skills and can form meaningful relationships based on transparency, dependability and trust.Understand contract commercial framework for major projects, ensuring revenue recognition and invoicing aligns with the commercial framework.Support delivery and implementation of the financial strategic decisions and ensure performance objectives / outcomes are achieved within agreed timeframes.Conduct regular reviews against plan / budget and forecast, taking action to ensure financial objectives achieved.Advise team members on financial, technical, and operational matters as required, and represent the financial position as required.Ensure team’s capabilities are appropriate to achieve business goals, identify resource and skill gaps and develop strategies to bridge gaps.Encourage an environment of sharing knowledge and ideas to ensure continuous improvement within the team.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required; Accounting/Business/Commerce based degree.Preferred CPA/CA with post graduate studies highly regarded (ie. MBA, Masters in Corporate Finance etc.)Strong communication and influencing skills across functional and operational teams and with senior management.Strong analytical skills and knowledge of leading analytical tools.Strong budgeting and forecast modelling skills.Strong ability to identify and implement new processes.Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and taxation practices.Ability and experience working with a range of systems including (not limited to) Microsoft Office Suite, ERP systems and EPM systems, including strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modelling.
