Senior Business Manager - Powder Coatings SEA

This is a new role in Industrial Coatings aimed at bringing increased regional focus on powder business in the SEA powder coatings market to deliver profitable growth for our powder product line. The position reports to the General Manager Industrial SEA and will also liaise with the commercial leaders of Asia Pacific and the Business Managers of the countries and segments. It is a pivotal position at the interface of our commercial, technical and operations teams in this region to help expand and grow our powder presence in the region.
 

Key Responsibilities:

Establish a winning business strategy for Powder – Southeast Asia and help implement in conjunction with the commercial teams to deliver substantial growth of powder products, taking into consideration our current infrastructure, cost drivers and market opportunities, aligned with Regional Powder StrategyMapping of the various market segments available in the powder coating space and help develop product strategies to penetrate the same in the regionSupport the commercial teams in opening the doors at the customer end for ease of penetrationEnsure our opportunity pipelines and sales plans are adequate to generate profitable growth in the assigned marketsLeverage resources and gain support from key commercial and functional stakeholders to achieve business plansSupport program management and new launch activities for New Product IntroductionsExhibit PPG Values related to EHS and Compliance and ensure PPG policies and procedures are followed at all times.
 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; a background in Chemistry is preferred.Minimum of 8 years’ working experience in a Business Development roleMinimum of 8 years’ experience with a paint supplier or direct exposure to the powder coatings market is required.Strong command of English and effective communication skills within and across departments; proficiency in Mandarin is an added advantage.Ability to work independently, with a certain level of guidance provided.Extensive travel is required.
