Public Procurement is going through a digital transformation. We are looking for a self-starter who is prepared to develop, own and execute the French Public Sector Greenfield strategy in line with Amazon Business strategic direction. Defining market segment strategy, ensuring effective executive engagement with the most complex public customers, and achieving scale through partners, marketing and public policy.
This role requires an individual with executive presence who can speak fluently about our business and investments across France and suitably represent our business with customer and partner executives. This leader will bring strong C-level relationships, especially with procurement leaders. You are responsible for identifying high-potential customers for FR Public Sector and making Amazon Business a key solution for their procurement needs. You will also help identify and win public tenders/frameworks, and build partnerships with think tanks and decision makers.
Amazon Business is a fast-paced, evolving environment and the ideal candidate thrives under ambiguity, has strong business judgement and a desire to evolve our ways of thinking whilst implementing new programs and processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in public procurement working with Government Ministries/authorities/agencies and a track record of success, including implementing programmes that deliver incremental value and revenue to the business.
Key job responsibilities
• Identify the needs of FR Public Sector customers and identify/create partnerships and solutions that meet and exceed their expectations
• Develop the short, medium, and long-term Greenfield strategy for FR Public Sector including critical scaling mechanisms like marketing, sales plays and campaigns, executive engagement, skills and enablement.
• Support and influence the strategy to set direction for the FRand EU Public Sector teams and then deliver against it at pace
• Expand expertise of the FR Public Sector within Amazon Business
• Identify/respond to public contracting authorities in the FR Public Sector for upcoming frameworks whilst working with authorities to help inform/shape their thinking for future tenders/frameworks
• Build long-term relationships with senior internal and external customer stakeholders including CPOs, VPs, Directors and more
