Senior Business Development Manager, European Funding and Commercial Training – Thomson Reuters Foundation
TRF is looking for an experienced fundraiser and relationship builder who can play an integral role in helping us to expand our funding with European donors and drive forward our successful training portfolio income stream. You will play a critical role in developing and securing strategic partnerships across a diverse funding portfolio including bilaterals, philanthropic trusts and foundations, the EU and the private sector.
About the Role
As our Senior Business Development Manager, you will :
Develop high quality relationships with key donors in Brussels and Europe, collaborating with the wider Business Development Team to build strong networks of supportBuild profile of TRF’s work with key donors and stakeholders in Europe through collaboration with TRF’s Communications team and key technical expertsProactively build a pipeline of funding opportunities, led by sector leading research and insight, ensuring prospects are high quality and moving through the stages of the business development processProduce compelling proposals and materials for prospective supporters and donors.Lead bid development for identified funding opportunities by managing a cross team working group to ensure high quality submission of programme narrative, budget and theory of change.Lead our commercial training programme to secure renewal of existing clients and expand delivery to grow income and support new areas of TRF’s strategy, in particular our responsible business portfolioAbout You

Track record of income generation in the not for profit sector, with over 10 years’ experience securing high value partnerships from a diverse portfolio of fundersSector leading experience of leading multi-million pound/euro bid development teamsDynamic communication skills and confident networkerExpert knowledge and insight on the European donor landscape and multi-lateral priorities and stakeholders Excellent interpersonal skills – able to establish and maintain positive working relationships both internally and externally, with people from a wide variety of cultures and backgrounds.Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a proven ability to work to specific deadlines.About Thomson Reuters Foundation
