The Senior Business Controller will drive financial performance and strategic decision-making through robust business control processes, comprehensive financial planning and analysis, and proactive performance management. Getting the storyline behind the financial figures to steer, monitor and predict. Value creation is key by process optimization, smarter spending program and P&C-cycles. Focus area is Global Digital & IT.
Responsibilities:
Business Control:
Establish and maintain strong business control processes to ensure compliance, risk management, and governance.Monitor and analyze financial and operational performance against targets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as necessary.Develop and maintain financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.Financial Reporting & Analysis:
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly management reports, quarterly forecasts, annual budgets and multiyear plans.Conduct in-depth financial analysis and scenario modeling to support strategic initiatives, investment decisions, and business performance optimization.Stakeholder Management:
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, to align financial goals with business objectives. (Planning & Control cycle)Serve as a key liaison between finance and other departments, providing financial expertise and support to drive business results.SocGen requests on reporting for ECB requirements to get KPI’s, Trajectory plans of 3 years. Global IT project business cases.Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): (focus on Digital & IT domain)
Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making and resource allocation.Collaborate with business leaders to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) and dashboards to monitor business performance.Use/implement management accounting tooling to use predictive modelling for forecasting, budgeting.Requirements:
Degree in Finance, Economics, or related field;5+ years of experience in finance roles, with a focus on FP&A, business control, or related functions;Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams;Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and trends to provide actionable insights;Fluent in English written and spoken;Super user in with MS Excel, with strong financial modelling skills;As a member of our team, you will benefit from:
