About the role, The Senior Business Analyst I is a senior-level position that will work with one or more business units, supporting moderately complex projects aimed at delivering IT solutions and services that meet company cost, quality and strategic targets. The role will predominately focus on gathering and analyzing work group data, defining current processes and requirements, researching best practices and identifying and documenting process improvements and functional specifications

Responsibilities
Gathering and synthesizing business and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and data analysis.Mapping and evaluating current-state processes, identifying inefficiencies, and formulating optimized, future-state workflows using industry best practices.Translating business needs into clear, actionable functional specifications that guide system design and development.Supporting solution design through active engagement with developers, QA teams, and project managers, ensuring end-to-end alignment of scope, quality, and business value.Utilizing analytical tools and methodologies to uncover trends, measure performance, and drive continuous improvement.Serving as a trusted advisor to business leaders, contributing to strategic planning by identifying systems and process changes that deliver measurable impact.Requirements
Requirements Gathering & Documentation – Expertise in eliciting business and functional requirements through stakeholder engagement, interviews, and workshops.Writing Functional Specifications – Ability to clearly translate business needs into functional/technical documentation for development teams.Understanding of SDLC/Agile/Waterfall Methodologies – Familiarity with how requirements flow through project lifecycles.Working Knowledge of Enterprise Systems – Experience with ERP, CRM, or custom applications, depending on the industry.Cross-Functional Collaboration – Work effectively with developers, QA testers, project managers, and business stakeholders.Facilitation & Workshop Leadership – Lead discovery sessions, JAD sessions, and solution reviews.Presentation Skills – Communicate insights, findings, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.Stakeholder Management – Navigate competing priorities and drive alignment across business units.Business Case Development – Ability to justify proposed improvements by articulating ROI, efficiency gains, or risk mitigation.Change Management Awareness – Understanding of how system/process changes affect users and how to support adoption.Strategic Thinking – Align project work with broader organizational goals and roadmaps.Work in a way that works for you
