Job overview and responsibilities

This Senior Analyst will play a key role in maintaining and enhancing a critical legacy application that calculates profitability, at the same time Gain a deep understanding of workflows within the custom legacy system to optimize processes and solutions. This role emphasizes deep understanding of finance, stakeholder collaboration, and the use of predictive analytics to enhance analytics and decision-making. This role is essential in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding and documenting business requirements by providing strategic insights and recommendations for business improvement.  It involves working closely with stakeholders to define and prioritize business requirements and ensure that the solutions developed by IT align with business strategy. 

Business Insights and Analysis: Conduct deep-dive analyses into complex financial data to uncover trends and provide actionable insights Utilize predictive analytics to forecast future financial scenarios and advise on potential business impactsAnalyze financial data to identify root causes of errorsIdentify inefficiencies and recommend solutions to optimize financial processesTool Proficiency: Effectively use analytical tools such as Power BI, OBIEE, Oracle Analytics, and Data Bricks to gather and interpret data, supporting business decision-makingCollaboration with Stakeholders: Work directly with business units, including finance and operational teams, to define data requirements and business objectivesTranslate these business needs into analytical projectsCollaborate closely with developers to ensure that financial analytics tools and systems are developed in alignment with both the technical roadmaps and business strategiesSimplify the communication bridge between finance stakeholders and technical teams to support effective implementation and ongoing enhancementsPresentation and Reporting: Prepare and present reports to senior management detailing findings, with clear visualizations and strategic recommendations to guide business decisionsQualifications

What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business , Finance, Economics or related fieldMinimum of 4 years of experience in a technical  analysis role, preferably within a finance or analytics-focused teamProven track record of delivering actionable business insights and managing analytical projectsExperience working with financial databases, and highly comfortable with working with SQL, Excel and other analysis toolsMust be comfortable working with legacy and custom complex applicationAbility to work with large datasets, perform analysis  Proficiency in data analysis and analytics, including the ability to interpret and communicate insights from dataStrong understanding of business analysis principles, methodologies, and best practicesFamiliarity with agile project management methodologies, particularly ScrumExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into understandable reports and presentations as well as financial modeling requirementsProven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and influence business decisions through data-driven insightsMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

Master's degreeComfortable with reading basic pseudocode (.NET / C#)Relevant certifications in business analysis, such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or certification in Agile methodologies like Scrum.Training or certification in analytics tools used in financial analysis, such as Power BI or Oracle Analytics, is advantageousBasic AWS and Data Analytics certifications is a plusKnowledge of Python, or other programming languages for data analysis is a plus

 


The base pay range for this role is $99,750.00 to $135,960.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
