In this role, you'll be at the forefront of innovation, developing strategic analyses that drive critical business decisions in an ever-evolving global marketplace.
As a Senior Business Analyst in Trade Analytics, you'll bridge the gap between Global Trade, Supply Chain, and Business Strategy, providing invaluable insights that guide Amazon's supply chain operations. Your work will directly impact how we navigate complex international trade landscapes, optimize our global network, and maintain our competitive edge in the retail industry.
Key job responsibilities
- Develop mid- and long-term strategic analyses based on market and economic conditions
- Support sophisticated probabilistic simulations and math-driven projections considering factors such as tariffs, exchange rates, and freight costs
- Provide strategic business guidance to executive leadership, translating complex data into actionable insights
- Collaborate with diverse teams including Supply Chain Innovation, Retail Strategy, and Executive Leadership
- Drive supply chain optimization through data-driven recommendations
- Contribute to major initiatives aimed at creating strategic business guidance
- Stay ahead of emerging trends and innovations in global trade and supply chain management
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
- Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with SQL
- Experience making business recommendations and influencing stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA
- - Proven experience as a financial analyst, preferably with an MBA or equivalent experience in business strategy
- - Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop complex financial models and simulations
- - Deep understanding of retail, fulfillment, and trade analytics data
- - Excellent communication skills, able to present complex information to diverse audiences
- - Adaptability and comfort working in a fast-paced, innovative environment
- - Experience with supply chain operations and global trade dynamics is a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
