DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Subject matter expertise on core payments product domain

Provide technical support to the business, customers, vendors and other third parties as and when required to support the ongoing development and management of the product.

Support the core acquiring product management team in all aspects of business and project analysis to implement against the core product strategic roadmap.

Growth mindset to become the subject matter expert of the core domain.

Desire to build a solid understanding of the company’s payment solutions, technologies and services.

Development of product requirements 

Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis tasks and workflow analysis.

Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and take high-level information into specific deliverables.

Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyse information needs and functional requirements. 

Respectfully challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans.

Analysis and solutioning

Be the liaison between the business units, internal and external clients, technology teams and support teams to determine “how” products will be brought to life.

Ensure customer needs are at the core of product design through well defined user stories and relevant use cases where applicable.

Develop, scope, define, refine backlog items through developing epics, features and user stories that guide the software development team to deliver product enhancements.

Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs.

Ensure timely delivery of high quality solutions that meet client and user business needs.

Desire to continuously improve processes and tools adopted to drive efficiency and execute with excellence.

Documentation and record management 

Deliver the following artefacts to document the product solution through development of Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) that include (Functional / non-functional requirements, use cases, GUI screen and interface designs, UML Diagrams).

Develop and maintain any related internal/external messaging/collateral and communications for the core payments product domain.

COMPETENCIES (KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS or ABILITIES / BEHAVIOR)

3 years or more of relevant roles as an analyst with understanding of payments processing systems and applications.

Knowledge of card schemes (such as Visa, Mastercard, JCB, China UnionPay), domestic TW  (NCCC) credit card processor, APM (QR codes) and RTP (realtime payment).

Strong analytical skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.

Ability to own and manage content with responsibility for ensuring it is up to date.

Detail oriented with good organisational skills (organising meetings/calls and coordinating activities).

Proactive approach to handling issues, risks, dependencies and escalations.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks, work with schedules, manage resources while remaining focused on team goals.

English, Chinese language proficiency in both spoken and written languages

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree from college or university.

3+ years of experience in a similar role with strong knowledge of the payments industry and/or a strong technical background.
