Senior Broker

We are seeking a Senior Broker specializing in Construction, Engineering, and Renewable Energy to drive strategic client relationships and innovative solutions, focusing on servicing and expanding our existing portfolio while providing technical expertise to less experienced team members. This role will also emphasize pipeline and new business development and enabling and supporting the overall business in these verticals, driving new business growth in the space. Key Responsibilities: Lead and enhance strategic client relationships, presenting insights on the Construction, Engineering, and Renewable Energy landscape and market status to executive and board levels. Develop comprehensive client profiles, including risk and needs analysis, and manage the renewal process with structured client service models. Design tailored insurance programs for Construction, Engineering, and Renewable Energy clients, ensuring alignment with lender agreements and obligations. Produce client documentation, lead renewal meetings, and negotiate fees to enhance client satisfaction, retention, revenue, and profitability. Ensure compliance in client interactions and contribute to new business opportunities by collaborating with colleagues across Aon. Create and contribute ideas for growth initiatives, working with Global, Regional, and Country Management Teams to deliver a wide range of insurance solutions. Maintain strong relationships with clients, projects, and prospects, supporting claims administration and staying updated on sector trends. Deliver best practices through Aon Systems, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies. Knowledge and Skills: + Strong understanding of Construction, Engineering, and Renewable Energy and related insurance products. + Excellent understanding of policy wordings and comprehensive knowledge of South African and international short-term insurance markets. + Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Aon Connect. + Qualifications and Experience: + Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred. Qualifications and Experience: + Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred. + Registration as a representative with the FSCA under the FAIS Act and as an associate with the IISA. + 10-15 years of relevant experience in a similar client service or related role, with previous experience in the energy insurance sector and client account management preferred. + Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, self-discipline, organization, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
