We have an opportunity for a Senior Brand Manager, in the Neuroscience  area to join our Parkinson team. In this role, you will develop and implement the marketing plan for the Parkinson  franchise, a strategic area of growth for AbbVie’s future.  This position is based in Montreal (Saint-Laurent) and reports to the Frederick Lavigne, Business Unit Head of Parkinson & Psychiatry.

Key responsibilities:

Develop, implement and measure tactics aligned to strategies identified in the marketing plan.Optimize utilization of resources to lead, develop and coach a brand manager, including overseeing the performance management process, professional development and succession team plans.Managing and appropriately spending allocated advertising and promotion (A&P) budgetsTake a lead role in monthly and annual financial processes, working in close collaboration with forecasting team to deliver accurate and timely output.Communicating strategic goals, positioning, messaging and tactical plans to internal customers, field sales force and external agencies.Analyzing market issues and opportunities and communicate findings to brand team and to senior management.Plan and coordinate national sales meeting and cycle meetings.Provide leadership and line management support to the Vyalev and Duodopa products (If applicable)Collaborate with Global, Area & affiliate colleagues to optimize total affiliate Parkinson performance both now and in the future.
Qualifications

Education/Experience required:

Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Science or related field, or equivalent is required. Master’s degree is an asset.Relevant business experience with proven track record of success within biotech/pharmaceutical.Proven marketing experience, and relevant therapeutic knowledge in Neuroscience/ParkinsonSpecialty pharmaceutical sales (Min. of 2 years).Head Office experience, an asset (Min. of 2 years).Experience in product launches and working with global teams an assetMarketing and other commercial experiences with an understanding of financial processes, market access, project management skills and knowledge of the Regulatory environment within biotech/pharmaceutical industry preferred.Ability to think and plan strategically (work plans, activities, timetables, targeting) and operating with execution excellence.

Essential skills & abilities:

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.).Must be at ease with technology (the use of various tools/systems to perform day-to-day tasks).Travel required about 30 to 40 % of the time.Valid driver’s licence and passport.

Drive Vision and StrategyContribute to the brand team as an effective and genuine team playerPrioritize decisions and activities to ensure efficient use of resources and address critical issues impacting the brandPrepare and deliver presentations to the different stakeholders. Adapt key messages to the audience. Strong communications skills required (written and verbal).Negotiate for resources.Drive and manage projects.
