Kforce is working with a client in search of a Senior Backend Engineer to join their team! This position is full-time, direct hire and remote with the ability to work PST hours. Summary: As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design, build, and maintain the core services, APIs, and integrations that power our platform. You'll collaborate with world-class engineers to deliver resilient, high-performance systems. Responsibilities: * Senior Backend Engineer will design, build, and own REST/GraphQL APIs that serve internal and external clients * Develop and maintain data & messaging pipelines that connect micro-services and third-party platforms * Architect scalable, observable backend systems with an emphasis on performance, security, and fault tolerance * Implement and manage integrations (server-side and browser-based) with restaurant, delivery, and marketing platforms * Improve CI/CD workflows, container orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) for rapid, reliable releases * As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will partner with product, data, and frontend teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions * Monitor production systems, respond to incidents, and drive root-cause analysis and continuous improvement
