Job overview and responsibilities
The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for the development of critical applications within Above The Wing airport operations, while working with a team of developers. This role will design, develop, document, test and debug new and existing applications. Additionally, this role will build these applications with a focus on delivering real time cloud-based solutions. The individual will use groundbreaking technologies and enterprise grade integration software daily and will be relied upon to help take the team to the next level from a technological standpoint.
Manages and participates in full development life cycle including requirements analysis and design using Agile methodologies.Serve as technical expert on development projects. Write technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirementsSupport, maintain, and document software functionalityIdentify and evaluate new technologies for implementationAnalyze code to find causes of errors and revise programs as neededManages and participates in software design meetings and analyze user needs to determine technical requirements. Collaborate & lead tech teams consisting of employees & vendor company contractors in planning and execution, serving as an technology leader Collaborate with end user to prototype, refine, test, and debug programs to meet needsStay current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in API development and integrationHighlight and document risks, issues, blockers and dependencies; discuss with team project manager on regular basisTrack delivery milestones and interdependencies across multiple teamsOversee vendor relationships and third-party integrations when applicableQualificationsWhat’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field of studyExperience with Sensors and IoT such as Telematics, Computer Vision, etc.4+ years of experience in design, development, documenting, testing, and debugging of new and existing software systems and/or applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software for internal use in an agile environment.4+ years’ experience implementing AWS technologies (Lambda, Step Functions, CloudWatch, CloudFront, Cognito, route53, Dynamo DB, ECS, EC2, S3, RDS, API Gateway)Strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET Framework, Microsoft NET Core, SQL, NoSQL and Design PatternsExperience with language: C# (.NET core), Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, Node.jsExperience with a real-time messaging platform, like Solace, KafkaKnowledge of APIs, JSON, XML, and OAuthFamiliarity with CI/CD pipelines/DevOps and version control tools like Git/ HarnessExperience with Cloud Automation Development Tool such as Git, Python/Bash/PowerShell ScriptingExcellent knowledge of Object-Oriented systems design and Application DevelopmentMust be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorshipSuccessful completion of interview required to meet job qualificationReliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the positionWhat will help you propel from the pack (Preferred Qualifications):Hands-on development and proficient excellence in backend API development using Node.js Java and Python (nice to have)AWS certificationsExperience with SolaceExperience with AngularExperience with Research & Development Airline industry knowledgeThe base pay range for this role is $109,820.00 to $149,600.00.
The base salary range/hourly rate listed is dependent on job-related, factors such as experience, education, and skills. This position is also eligible for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation awards.
