What You’ll Get to Do:

Work directly with systems, software, hardware engineers and project IPT leads / architects from within the Program and the GovernmentCollaborate with developers, Product Owners and Product Owner Proxies to understand requirements and design test casesWork with development teams and Quality functions to improve software qualityEnsure test coverage for new features and regression testingCreate and maintain test documentation including test plans and test casesConstruct test scenarios, test cases, and detailed procedures and verifications, connecting these with requirements and driving more testable code with a focus on automation and metric collectionDevelop and maintain automated test scripts for various software applicationsTest managementResearch, design, and build automation to streamline various testing needsAPIsGeneral support frameworks like Robot, Karate, Citris, Playwright, CucumberCompetency in OO languages (Python, Java, C++)GUI-focused automationParticipate in agile development processes including sprint planning and daily standupsRefine and enhance existing test cases and applications to best meet requirement verification and improve operational performanceProvide training, mentoring, and support to other team members on test automation tools and practices

More About this Role:

Work on various programs dedicated to supporting the war fighter.Contribute to and improve engineering processesDevelop and maintain test documentation to meet customer contract requirementsUnderstand the software life-cycle management and toolsTravel onsite to periodically test operational systems and updates

Qualifications:
Education:

Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science

Experience:

Minimum 8+ years of relevant work experience in software developmentExperience building automation and other test toolsExperience with API testing concepts and associated technologies like RESTExperience writing bash, python, or other scripting languagesExperience deploying and testing container imagesExperience managing and testing Kubernetes clustersDedication to Test Engineering methods and techniquesUse and experience of Linux debugging and diagnostic toolsAbility to acquire TS/ SCI

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Experience in UI automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress)Demonstrable experience with source control (git)Understanding of distributed systems and networkingKnowledge of compiled languagesFamiliar with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, Bamboo or similar)Understanding of Linux security and auditingBasic competency with relational databases (mysql, postres)Active TS/SCI Clearance

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$103,800 - $218,100
