Senior Associate - Trade Confirmations and Settlements

Supporting our successful Asset Management business, you will be joining the team responsible for performing all tasks related to the Trade Confirmation and Settlement team. This will include researching, analysing, monitoring confirmation and settlement of trades, which will help the portfolio managers to make the best investment decisions.
It is proposed that Macquarie Asset Management will sell its North American and European public investments business, comprising of equities, fixed income and multi-asset to Nomura, by the end of the calendar year 2025. This role is in scope to transfer to Nomura as part of the sale. Therefore, this role will commence with Macquarie Asset Management in Australia, but will transfer to Nomura in Australia on completion of the sale.

You will play an integral role in the day-to-day processing of our trade-related activities, and be responsible for assisting our Japanese speaking clients, monitoring settlements, managing investment confirmations and trade confirmation deliveries. This is a broad middle-office role that will also involve responding to ad hoc requests from Japanese clients, reconciliation reviews and assist the clearing of breaking items. You will contribute to designing new processes, business activities, and projects, while liaising with the Front Office Portfolio Managers, Trading teams, and other supporting teams across the business. 2+ years of experience in a similar middle-office or operational roles within asset management Product knowledge of Public Markets, such as Infrastructure and Global REIT asset classesRobust understanding of domestic and international settlements, preferably Japanese trust banking settlements Knowledge of the Securities Investment Trust, Japan is valuable Fluent in English and Japanese language.We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
