About the job

The Legal team is looking for a Senior Associate Legal Counsel to provide legal advice and assistance throughout our organization. You will independently perform a full range of legal services and maintain a diverse workload, but your primary focus will be supporting our Marketing division with questions related to trademark and brand protection and our R&D, CIS, and Sales divisions on a variety of topics including use of open-source software and regulatory compliance.

 

As a Senior Associate Legal Counsel, you will:

Work with internal groups including Sales, R&D, CIS, and other departments to structure and negotiate customer proposals and agreements to align with regulatory and internal requirements including AI, IP, and marketing.Monitor legal and regulatory updates in Marketing and IP and provide updates to internal clients.Support internal requests for review of open-source software.Support internal groups to implement AI and IP-related guidance.Support Marketing on questions of naming and brand architecture.Advise technical and business development teams on technology-related legal matters through stages of product development.Manage legal matters pertaining to SAS as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Typically requires a minimum of two years of related experience.Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school.Licensed to practice law by being admitted to and a member in good standing of at least one state bar.Equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant experience may be considered in place of the requirements stated above.You’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable. Preferred Qualifications

Experience interpreting US and global regulations and implementing associated requirements.Prior experience with trademark or other IP law.Prior experience with marketing law.Prior litigation experience. Familiarity with AI and emerging technologies.
